Race Wheels, opinions & suggestions (Gaming)

I'm considering picking up a race wheel by/before the holidays. Does anyone here have one? What do you think of it? How kid friendly is it (I've got 5 & 8 year olds that would probably want to use it)? Logitech G29 and/or Thrustmaster T300 are toward the upper limit of my price range. This would be for my PS4 system (tho' it would be pretty sweet to be able to also use it on my XB1 and PC).
