I won't pretend to be completely informed on all of the issues or even the state of the nation. I'm one of the people that didn't particularly want either candidate to become President. I deeply disagree with both of them.

I think the biggest issue is that people are absolutely fed up with the status quo and these political dynasties and career politicians. For good or ill, Trump upset the status quo with people during the campaign, and I think that resonated with a lot of folks. I'm not convinced he'll actually do anything but uphold the status quo, but he certainly promised not to, and I don't think that's a bad thing, even though, again, I deeply disagree with nearly everything he's said.

People are just tired of politicians (and rightfully so, in my opinion).
