I like having the seasonal events, too.
Unfortunately FotL was quantifiably worse this year than the last. A lot of the other posts have explained why, but some things I didn't see mentioned:
You could earn free masks for completing the quests, but I already owned around 75% of them. None of the new masks could be earned without paying.
One of the quests required a mask that I didn't have, which meant that I would have to buy it.
Last year the questlines could be completely concurrently, but this year you had to complete them sequentially. There was no reason why, it just took more of the players' time this year.
