Destiny 2: Playstation Timed Exclusive Content (Destiny)

And to provide a degree of context, while you are paying the same amount to play on Xbox (figuratively) the PS players are paying the same amount for identical content. Sony is paying for the exclusive content and giving it to their player base. While it might seem strange, that is how it works out. You don't pay for a seller exclusive pre-order bonus, the seller does. Whether you agree with the practice or not, your money is exactly as valid as their money, and isn't getting you less.

If the content was exclusive for PS and never to be available on the xbox/PC then I'd agree with you. That's not what they have said though. They clearly state that Xbox (and PC presumably) will get the exclusives at a later time.

Xbox player = $60
PS player = $60
Playstation = $$ for a TIMED exclusive

Playstation is paying for their players to have more content in the short term. Long term its supposed to be equal. However, D2 is going to release before these pieces get released for D1 xbox players (never mind that 360 players got completely screwed out of this stuff). Since this is supposed to be a 10 year game they sure are off to a bad start with handling exclusives.
