I despise rap but I found this to be oddly interesting. I wonder why...

I had the same reaction to this song that I have to a lot of modern pop music, which is that I very much dislike the style and production, but I can hear the core of a good song underneath all that. And that kinda shines up through the cracks in the surface. Like, I’d love to hear her sing this song with nothing but a guitar.
