Make the current season's Content Light Level be no higher than the player's Light Level cap from the last season. Then, each season's grind is about making the current season's content easier and pre-grinding for the next season's difficulty. I think that'd make seasonal content more tolerable, at least.
They did that - for one season (this one). They've reverted to their old style as of Witch Queen. I don't know why.
