Foolproof Crota Boss Guide (Spoilers) (Destiny)

I've tried this multiple times, but Crota always starts moving once I pick up the sword and runs to the far right or left while I'm heading to center. This always causes a miss, and he always waits till i'm under the racetrack to start booking it.

Of course I keep picking up people who can't actually take down the shield or take out the knights so I need to find a better raid group.

At least it's better then one of the Hard Atheon runs I did. These two guys in our group would die to the hobgoblins during the gate keeper part within 17 seconds of starting every single time.
