Considering they will being increasing rewards across the board, It's hard to tell how big of a deal this is.

And I'd be less infuriated that the guy at the top of the scoreboard got a Hawkmoon then the guy with a K/D of less than 0.5

In addition to that, the game already incentivizes winning through marks.
