I think I see the end of the line... (Destiny)

This is an opportunity to optimize the carrot instead of chasing it endlessly and just being happy with the few pieces of carrot you managed to grab regardless of their characteristics.

I don't know what you said.

I think...maybe you are saying just enjoy the game? Forget about chasing loot? Yeah, I get that. Maybe back off and just enjoy it for what it is...

Unless you're saying something different. In that case, ha ha, I'm not a moron! I was just, uh, responding to the wrong message...

Back in my day, we only had one pair of boots from the Vault of Glass and we were grateful for it. It didn't matter if it was max strength and no intellect and had perks for grenade kills recharging melee energy and extra ammo for auto rifles, we wore that thing every day in every activity.

Sure, Crota's End might give you two, or if you really put out, three pairs of boots--but by the time you grinded one out and gave it your last shard, not to mention being robbed blind by Eris converting the 3 energy you needed to do it--after grinding HER out to rank 4 just for the chance--you never looked at a pair of boots to do anything but sigh and think of what might've been.

Bungie's finally pulled the stick out of its butt and is going to let us focus on customizing and optimizing our armor loadouts. Perks matter. Values matter. Different loadouts for different situations. It's not about finally hitting max level after weeks or months of desperately pleading to the RNG--it's about building an arsenal. We're getting to play the game.
