Who's got the most assists? (Destiny)

We've always joked that you should get the Gretzky medal in crucible if you finish with the most assists, but what about strikes? I present Mr. Chickens with his interpretation of The Great One.
Not good at finishing the job...

Or I just tether everything I see so I can get partial credit.

If it's PvP, I think I might perpetually have the Wayne Gretzky award.
Technically, if we do the math, I am in the Top .06% in all of Destiny for assists. Almost 20x better than a 1%er.

I genuinely want to know what you're doing that 99.94% of others aren't doing.
Simple really.

I play a lot. I lose gun fights where they have just a sliver of health left a lot. Some random who didn't do any of the hard work comes by and tickles the enemy to death... a lot.
It's not uncommon for me to have games with double digit assists.
Guess I'm just not a killer.

I think most people at DBO are in the top 1% of most of these raw total categories. These categories are a bigger reflection on playing time than almost anything else. A lot of people only played destiny for a short period of time, but their number is added to the database and it skews the raw totals for those who've played the game for its duration.
For a stat that is a little more telling, look for the Assists Per Game stat. In this, Beard is still in the upper bracket and at 4.61 he is in the top 11%. For reference, my selfish 3.73 average puts me in the top 38%.

4.61 isn't good enough. Clearly I need to kill even fewer enemies!
Stop aiming for the head!

5.72 on my warlock and 4.36 on my hunter.

Clearly you're just more lethal as a hunter.

I'd say an even better measure is k/d vs ka/d. I know my
Ka/d is much better compared to my k/d when comparing to the community.
