Forsaken Launch trailer... Blur is still the best. (Destiny)

They have a knack for nailing atmosphere and cinematography in general (even if it's paired with Bungie's terribly-written dialogue).

Also, this strengthens the case that Forsaken should have had its international title, "Renegades".

Wow, super duper spoilers in that vid. (but not in my post)

Yes, there were spoilers about the campaign... a lot.

But there was one super duper fuper spoiler. One that made me push myself away from my desk in my rolling chair, spin around and go "aawwhhhhaaaaaa!!????"

So for those that are going blind, I'm totally being a jerk right now.
For those that watched it...was my reaction appropriate? You know what I'm talking about.

It may single-handedly spark a hint of respect for Bungie from my end if it's the case, and not just a one-off moment.

And it opens up the door for them to retroactively fix the awkward silences. They definitely left themselves windows of opportunity to do so.

lol

maybe since they cut Nathan Fillian out of the budget, they can now afford voice actors for the guardians

It's Matthew Mercer playing "Guardian: Human Male".
You may know him better as McRee the cowboy in Overwatch (fitting).

The rest of the player cast (all reprising their D1 roles) is:

Cree Summer- Exo Female
Crispin Freeman- Awoken Male
Susan Eisenberg- Human Female
Grey Griffin- Awoken Female
Peter Jessop- Exo Male

Half of the D1 cast went on to work in Overwatch and/or other Blizzard games. Coincidence?

The first thing our Guardian says should be "Wait, have I been on mute this whole time?"

Yeah... focus on the first letter of each word of that "report from Paladin Oran" in Petra's response...!

It's a bummer if this is how they're delivering the motivation for the first two story missions (as per the GI coverage with regards to chasing down Fikrul). But it is pretty consistent with Bungie's approach to our character's initial motivations across all story content.

But also, if Illyn is alive, doesn't that pretty much confirm that the queen could be communicating as well, and just... doesn't?

If you really want to know about the Queen and why she has been silent and where she is, check out the massive raid gear lore tab leaks that happened about a week ago. They were all posted on Reddit, and Byf also has a good 28 minute video about it if you're interested.

Can't really stand that Byf guy's voice, and it sounds like a long piecemeal read, so I'll pass on that for now (I mean, we're only days away, and a couple of weeks from the raid), but it's nice to know that it's being answered in depth...

Better to read anyway.

A 20 minute youtube video would take 4-5 minutes to read. If your video is just you talking with unrelated game footage in the background, then it's better as an article.
