Golden age humanity's records have been wiped out, but somehow Cayde has a copy of Back to the Future to make a reference? Proof it is indeed the greatest film ever made.

It's also possible that Destiny is set in the BTTF universe, and Cayde is/was Marty McFly, just resurrected as an exo and then also resurrected as an exo/Guardian, however that actually works. Probably.
