When will you finally release information bout the beta? E3
How much lead time do they need to announce the Beta?
E3, June 10-12
First day of summer, June 21st (also a Saturday, good day for a Beta release)
I am hopeful for June 21st, but 2 weeks notice seems too small. Would they aim for a weekend to open it up?
My guess would be 3 days early access to PS3/PS4, then open to everyone for another 14 days. I suppose we'll find out soon...

herds of whale blimps harassed by flying sharks - double-ended, rotary winged, Chinook insects sipping nectar from alien flowers on a Jovian moon.
How about some alien interlopers on Earth. Plants and wildlife that don't belong here - it's not just the sentient races that are taking over. Nivenesque sunflower plants, Martian red-weeds, barnacles and head-crabs (oh wait, wrong franchise but same idea).

I know, right? I should have realized that that large strange object wasn't Fallen, and that explains why the Hive was there, which was kind've confusing to me.

This is very exiting... i was under the impression that vehicles would be non-combative and used simply for mobility, so this is good news.

Actually yes, Claude, i do find that preferable to a worn-out, cutesy, "let me pat you on the head and laugh sarcastically at your adorable lack of knowledge" answer... lol!
But this is just my humble opinion, and in fact - if you read further down in my post i actually praise Bungie for their faithfulness to preserving the mysterious integrity of the story of Destiny, it's not the "not knowing" that bothers me, but sometimes their answers to questions they know they can't actually answer seem a tad bit condescending - and that can be bothersome, though it's not that big of a deal.

Heh - not at all. I really was curious; I don't read DeeJ's answers as condescending in the least. I read them as though he knows that we know that he can't answer - so he turns it into a joke. But it's a joke we're all in on. I read these like the banter you have with your lawyer friend during a basketball game, when you ask him for juicy details about a case he's on, and you KNOW he can't tell you anything, and he knows you know, so he jokes about it.
In fact, until you called it out as condescending, it hadn't even occurred to me that someone might see it that way.
I guess it's all how you look at it.
