What's Your Crota's End Setup? (Destiny)

by Ragashingo ⌂, Official DBO Cryptarch, Tuesday, December 09, 2014, 01:52 (3457 days ago)

I thought it would be fun to share our various intended setup for Crota's End. Here's mine:

Defender Titan
-- Suppressor Grenades. (These can suppress Wizards and Shriekers for a short time. The larger, more immediate blast radius will help with taking out bunches of Thralls if need be.)
-- Increased Jump Height (More control never seemed necessary and Catapult doesn't seem to do much...)
-- Ward of Dawn granting Blessing of Light (Not dying is more important than doing 25 - 35% more damage... and then doing it over again because your team wiped.)
-- Unbreakable Force Barrier (The recharging Force Barrier makes you incredibly tough while it's active as long as you're not under too much fire.)
-- Titan Codex I (Battle Recovery and Toughness. If I wanted to be fast I'd have been a Blade Dancer.)
-- Relentless (Because I like my Force Barrier to stick around longer. Not sure how much longer, but longer is better... right?)
-- Titan Codex IV (See Titan Codex I.)
-- Illuminated (Increases Blessing of Light's shield strength by 10%... I think.)

Helmet: Helm of Saint-14 (Blinds enemies that pass into Ward of Dawn)
- 402 Defense

Gauntlets: Iron Regalia Gauntlets
-- Defense: 329

Chest Armor: Kabar's Wrath
-- Defense 439

Leg Armor: Iron Regalia Greaves
-- Defense 293

Class Armor: Mark of the Pilgrim Guard. "Legend holds that Titans stood in defense of the first pilgrims to gather below the Traveler." Perfect for Tesni Jarmila, my Guardian who first died while trying to escort refugees to The City during the Dark Age.

Ghost
-- Frontier Shell (Because I can.)

Vehicle: S-30V (Slightly quicker and tougher than the EV-30 Tumbler)
-- Durability 110

Ship: Valkyrie-O5X (Because I can.)

Shader: Jester Apogee (Tesni is an Awoken... An elegant purple looks good on her.)

Emblem: Song of the Spheres (Awarded to those who completed the Alpha Lupi ARG. Apparently very rare or very unliked. Either way, I rarely see it which makes me happy.)

Primary Weapon: Khvostov 7G-02 (I tend not to like auto rifles, but this one fires slower than most and has very controllable recoil.)
-- Kinetic Damage
-- 20 Attack
-- 25 round magazine
-- Nice, slow rate of fire
-- Decent range
-- Medium speed reload

Secondary Weapons:

- Invective (This awesome shotgun will probably stay in my back pocket most of the time. It's primary purpose will be to regenerate my special ammo for use in other weapons.)
-- Maxed.

- Prism Schism (A decent enough fusion rifle. I hope...)
-- Solar Damage
-- 242 Attack
-- Pretty good everything else

- Plan C (Almost completely un-upgraded and yet still my best Arc fusion rifle...)
-- Arc Damage
-- 274 Attack
-- Almost has its first upgrade finished...

- 77 Wizard (The fusion rifle that took me through the Vault of Glass)
-- Void Damage
-- Maxed
-- Reloads quick after a kill with the final shot in the mag...

- Final Boss (A new acquisition meant to serve along side my Hunter. Loaned to my Titan for it's Solar damage.)
-- Solar Damage
-- 257 Attack
-- Reloads quick when empty
-- Has a 6 round magazine thanks to Field Scout

- Patience and Time (Bought because Cody Miller told me not to. Seem to work well enough despite not being Ice Breaker...)
-- Arc Damage
-- 283 Attack
-- Who knows, maybe being able to cloak a Titan will be useful?

Heavy Weapons:

- Super Good Advice (Pretty enjoyable to just hold down the trigger until all the enemies are dead)
-- Solar Damage
-- 279 Attack
-- Just got the Super Good Advice perk tonight

- Thunderlord (THE Heavy Machine Gun... in my opinion.)
-- Arc Damage
-- 283 Attack
-- Currently set to Field Scout instead of Perfect Balance. The extra rounds allow it to fire at 3x speed after a while thanks to Lightening Rounds! Will switch back if I happen to need heavy Arc fire on a distant target.

- The Swarm (Purchased a while back to free up my Exotic slot for primary or secondary use)
-- Void Damage
-- 267 Attack
-- Exceedingly stable
-- Probably mostly useless against Hive Arc and Solar shields...

All in all, I think I've got a decent setup. The goal is to punch things into submissionIt's funny how few weapons I've maxed out but I think I'll do ok...

Don't have time to type all that, cool if we could export a text report from B-net though!

Haha! You look like you didn't get too many raids either and spent the same few days I did having fun in IB for those boots and mittens! (I luckily scored the raid chest on my second completion)

I will probably equip Vision of Confluence as it's the only primary I have with elemental damage, and it's legendary so I can be flexible with my special/heavy. Solar will be good for wizard shields. Haven't quite maxed out my other exotics as Suros carried me until I got VoC, but I should be fine. Maybe Purifier (300 arc legendary fusion) for knight's ARC sheilds and awesomeness and Super Good Advice because it's just so damn fun and I need to level it anyway. Didn't even need the buff to be honest, I prefer the exotics to have personality and flaws but whatever.

Pocket infinity, Zombie Apoc, Invective are almost all maxed and can be swapped in. I have a maxed out void sniper and HMG as well in case the Hive think they want to try void shields. Just try me.

PS4:Numinar <-will be on by 7-8pm GMT if anyone wants to Crota! (And add anyway if on PS4, DBO people are best people)

I'm just going to bring in a ton of weapons since I don't know what lies ahead. But most likely:

Primary

-Fatebringer
-Vision of Confluence
-Vex Mythoclast
-Hard Light

Secondary:

-Icebreaker
-Perun's Fire
-Patience and Time
-Plan C

Heavy:

-Swarm (Solar)
-Gjallarhorn
-Corrective Measure
-Unfriendly Giant (Solar / Arc)
-Jolder's Hammer (Arc)
-Truth

will be the ones I end up using.

I heard that thing was a BEAST in the new raid!

Since I don't know any of the damage types in play I'll probably just run with a full array of weapons:

Primary:
VoC
Fatebringer
Atheon's Epilogue
Suros
Mythoclast

Secondaries:
Icebreaker
Preadyth's Revenge
Patience and Time
300 Void/Solar/Arc legendary Fusion combo
Found Verdict

Heavy:
Corrective Measure
Arc Swarm
Solar Jolder's Hammer
Gjallarhorn
Void tracking Unfriendly Giant

I'm sure it'll do all right, but I'm hoping to trade in into Xur for the new 23 damage replacement. Fortunately, it's reupgrade path is quick and easy. :)
