Anyway, I haven't seen it discussed here, but I realized (much to my dismay) that Crota's End armor pieces can actually have different perks on them, unlike VoG gear.

My first set of Raid gauntlets gave me the ability to drop Orbs on grenade kills, and I was crapping out well over a dozen orbs each Radiance. I didn't realize that my second set of Gauntlets, while having more beneficial stats, had the orb-dropping perk set to "melee" kills.

Unfortunately, I had sharded my first Raid gauntlets.

Looked it up, and somebody observed that he had the "critical kills drop orbs" perk, so it's definitely got multiple options, so keep an eye out, as it might pay off to have multiple pieces of raid gear for different situations.
