So the new strikes are great. Without spoiling anything it's exactly what they needed to do. Bye Bye bullet sponges and hello challenge. Not gonna pull one of those, they listened to me after all posts… but they totally did :-p

You are absolutely right here... New Strikes stand alone compared to all the old ones. The boss encounters are very well designed.
Hard to pick a favorite.

And it's not just the boss encounters. There are great little areas in each one that are semi-puzzle challenges where you really need to coordinate as a fireteam.

Exactly, I love the SABER strike because of the uncertainty about what to do. I love solving puzzles in video games!
