Destiny Updates walked through the Law of the Jungle video a couple of days ago, and touched on pretty much every detail he could find. We still have a semi-regular stream of fan fiction flowing in for your weekend reading. Ragashingo posted another story earlier this week that speculates on a particularly nasty breed of Vex in A Helping Hand. Then, a Hunter delving into the icy moon of Enceladus stumbles across a completely different kind of guardian in The Guardian and the Archive. Go read!

One of the things I love the most about the early days of a new videogame is the way the fans daydream about what's coming. I stumbled across this sketch on Reddit recently and was struck by the media, the style... one can almost imagine the artist sitting in class, near the end of the school year, dreaming of what will be. Wonderful!

Art and Stuff Contest

Cal Carlson let us know that the 'Art and Stuff' group on Bungie.net is hosting another contest - you must create an original piece of art depicting what you want your Destiny character to look like. Winners will be adorned with awesome swag from Bungie themselves! The deadline is May 21st, so dip your paint brushes (or turn on your digital drawing tablet) and start creating!

Ragashingo added his story from The DBO Challenge Week 5 thread to the fan fiction archive. In it a group of Guardians discover a hidden vault on Mercury that raises more questions than it answers. Go read!

According to a Bungie tweet, submissions are now posted from the Earth Day Artist's Challenge we mentioned last week. The album is posted on Bungie's Facebook page, but it doesn't look like you need a Facebook account to view the pieces themselves. Go check it out and see how your fellow Guardians are planning to defend our home turf!

The official Destiny fan page on Facebook has posted a small gallery of Fan Art; the five pieces cover a wide variety of styles. (Hopefully you recognize the fourth image - it's the one Levi created for our DBO twitter account background!)

Enemy Territory

Conscars just finished a piece of Destiny fan art titled "Enemy Territory" - I think he captured the "Mythic Science Fiction" aspect pretty well. Be sure to also check out his first piece of Destiny fan art (I absolutely love this piece.) Very impressive work, especially for someone with no formal art training. Go check it out!

For the one month anniversary of the Art and Stuff group on Bungie.net, cal carlson decided to break out his digital wand and bring the landscape of Venus to life - I wouldn't mind going on a trek of Venus.

We had two new pieces of fan fiction submitted last night. roland wrote a story called Stellar Conjunction that gives a fascinating look at a possible origins story of the Destiny universe; and Mix continues his Destiny Awaits series, where his protagonist has an explosive encounter with the enigmatic Vex.

Awesome Art, Again

We mentioned threesided last week, when we highlighted his piece called 'The Exchange' - if you visit the speedpaint thread on Bungie.net, you'll find a whole bunch of new work from him. Really inspiring!

The Exchange

threesided presented the Bnet forums with a work of art titled, The Exchange - threesided even included the "Blue Gold" from the GDC Destiny concept art. It's amazing how one static image can tell so much story. Feast your eyes!

Rain, Fate, and Encounters

The Fan Fiction section is already starting to fill out nicely! Most of the stories that were originally posted on the forum have now been archived, and over the last few days, four new stories have been added. Go check 'em out!
