Just a gentle reminder that the deadline for the first round of Ragashingo's awesome Fan Fiction project, No Longer Neglected, is coming up on Friday. Since last we mentioned iconicbanana's latest foray into short prose, he's released parts 3, 4, and 5 of The Lonely Fall of Andal Brask. Busy guy!

It looks like a storytelling bug is starting to go around in the forums! iconicbanana follows up his Eris Origins storyline with a new piece of fiction, The Lonely Fall of Andal Brask: Part 1, and Dagoonite has started his own storyline with two new pieces, The Lost Exo and What Was Unsaid. Go check them out and let them know what you think; I love seeing these community creations!

As we mentioned yesterday, iconicbanana's Eris Origins fanfiction is getting rave reviews in the DBO forums. It's already pushed ahead with part 3 and part 4. Go read something creative!
DBO regular iconicbanana has decided to lift the dark veil on Eris and expand on the mysteries of her past with some interesting short prose. You can read Part 1 and Part 2 in our forum.
Ragashingo's been hard at work crafting new stories for us to read. He submitted four new installments last week that introduce us to new characters and begin to build a latticework of connections to others we've already met.
Thanks to a delightful case of West Nile (thank you, Mother Nature), I've gotten behind again on the fan fiction queue. Ragashingo's been busy, in the meantime, and has submitted three new pieces. The first, "No Longer Afraid", appeared on our forum a couple of weeks ago and follows up on one of the characters he introduced a while back. Fair warning: the ending is a wee bit... dark. (I quite liked it.) The next two, "Little Lights in the Darkness" Parts One and Two, follow the origins of a new Guardian, driven by a need to protect her sister. All are high quality reading, so go check 'em out!

Somehow this got lost in the weekend shuffle, but the Destiny Dispatch crew finally released their fan fiction collection "Become Legend" for download. The eBook is packed with 21 community-written stories interspersed with some awesome fan art from a few names you might be familiar with. Now that the holidays are past, I finally had time to look at the fan fiction queue. (I'm embarrassed to admit that a couple of stories have been sitting there for a little while.) We have three new items today: PerseusSpartacus continues his "Introversion on the Key of D Minor" series, kemachiro released the full-length version of "A Hunter's Journey" (and it's hefty, coming in at novella length), and Gilead contributed a charming story about a girl and her robot. With the summer busyness, I've been neglecting the fan fiction queue, but I just released five new stories from storytime limbo. Ragashingo submitted a piece called These Imaginative Boots, kemachiro wrote the first part of A Hunter's Journey, and WM has turned in the first three chapters of The Vanguards of Dead Orbit ( 1 | 2 | 3 ). Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!
We still have a semi-regular stream of fan fiction flowing in for your weekend reading. Ragashingo posted another story earlier this week that speculates on a particularly nasty breed of Vex in A Helping Hand. Then, a Hunter delving into the icy moon of Enceladus stumbles across a completely different kind of guardian in The Guardian and the Archive. Go read!

We had two new pieces of fan fiction submitted last night. roland wrote a story called Stellar Conjunction that gives a fascinating look at a possible origins story of the Destiny universe; and Mix continues his Destiny Awaits series, where his protagonist has an explosive encounter with the enigmatic Vex.
The Fan Fiction section is already starting to fill out nicely! Most of the stories that were originally posted on the forum have now been archived, and over the last few days, four new stories have been added. Go check 'em out!
Seems like everyone wants to get in on the Destiny fan fiction craze lately - TTL Demag0gue informed us of his own contribution, "Forward Unto Destiny". Check it out!
