You absolutely can. It's one of the best things about SRL! :)

I think he's referring to being able to infuse a chest piece with the helmet or class item, which you can't do :)

If you're locked up with another Sparrow, it can think the other Sparrow is ground and not do a trick.

2. Make sure you wait until you're fully in the air. Sometimes if you do it too son it still thinks you're on the ground.

After doing this so many times, I've decided that the sideways "point" emote is actually giving the guy next to you the finger. Now if any of you race me, bump me out of a gate, and then wonder why I'm trying to do tricks on a flat straightaway, you'll know why :p

Two things:

1. Has to be a sparrow that has destabilizers, even to do the emote tricks.
2. Make sure you wait until you're fully in the air. Sometimes if you do it too soon it still thinks you're on the ground.

This might be a stupid question… but how do you do tricks on the sparrow? The bounty description said
"emotes, spins and rolls", but when I do an emote I just point and nothing happens while in the air.

Hit it while you're already in the air, and only if you're in a Trick Sparrow (such as the Nightsteed or Tumbler).

Also, I thought you'd appreciate how lucrative SRL is. Six matches after hitting Rank 3, and I've gotten two 314 helmets, a 311 class item, and the envy of the other racers in the match. :P

By the time the event is over, all of our helmets should be around 315+.

Yeah well, I still suck. I played for like 3 hours after the raid last night and finished in the top 3 only three times :-p

That's the great thing about it, no matter what position you're in, you get decent rep, just complete the bounties. And it looks like rewards are evenly distributed; lots of folks in sixth are getting Legendaries just as often as first place. It's great and stress-free!

As someone still rolling a blue 285 helmet this is quite a boon!

I think all of the normal emote buttons do different tricks, some only while airborne. And some sparrows have "trick" perks on them that describe how they work.
