What light levels were you and what classes were you running? I'd love to know some details. We had so many Psions in our runs, it was mitosis nightmare :)

When we did it, it helped a LOT to have a Sunbreaker for two reasons:

1. His ult + splash damage wrecked Psions
2. His melee that degrades armor wrecks the boss.

We handled it beautifully. One of us on each side focusing on blights and adds while the third DPS'd the boss down from the entrance hall. It worked out flawlessly as new blights would show up just as we were clearing the final adds from the previous blight. It never once got hairy and the entire boss fight took us 4 minutes, almost exactly.

Sadly, no one got the spaceship.

First try: complete failure. No hope of doing it.
Second try: no change in strategy. Complete with 2 minutes left.

*shrug*

Potential top tip: I've heard that the Psions only clone if they are damaged, so make sure to not kill them unless you're positive you can finish the job immediately. Also, if you do blights, adds, boss, make sure you actually do blights adds boss. No leave 1 Psion in the rear bull crap. He'll be 6 by the end of the damage phase.

Thanks Beardfade and Shed. Definitely the closest Beard and I have ever come to pulling it off. Seemed like a sound strategy, just 30 seconds shy. Maybe next time...

we were so close! we tried the "blights, adds, boss" strategy, but the acolytes just kept cloning themselves faster than we could kill them.

Is the daily Lost to Light? Anyone up for a latenight (9:00PST ish) go at it?

I can only handle one or two tries, but I can't resist the siren's call of an exotic sniper rifle.
