Destiny Weapon/Armor Select and Gun Upgrade Screen Analysis (reply)

I would imagine that upgrades stay with the gun, as do the resources and talent points that went into it. I doubt talent points will be limited in terms of like an actually hard cap, it seems to me like they might be a form of skill point that you earn for using that class of weapon, or something along those lines.

Yeah with the virtually unlimited number of guns in the game I would imagine that the points will be able to earned forever. Otherwise getting a new gun would be pointless if you can't upgrade them.

I agree on both points.

Thanks for posting this BTW. I'll be sure to point friends who are looking for more detailed info to it.

Destiny Weapon/Armor Select and Gun Upgrade Screen Analysis (reply)

More importantly, the consequences of a per weapon upgrade path seem important. If I invest player skill points into my gun, then I trade it to a friend,do I get those back? Does my friend who gets the gun get it powered up? Are skill points limited, and can I respec my character if I don't like the guns I've buffed? IT does open up quite a bit of unique possibilities though, and an interesting way to customize your character beyond standard builds.

Hmm, so I hadn't notice the extra inventory tab. I thought we were looking at Inventory!

That opens up the possibility of non combat items, consumables, crafting items, and more, fun stuff.

Destiny Weapon/Armor Select and Gun Upgrade Screen Analysis

I have to imagine this type of analysis has been done already, seeing as I'm a bit late. But I couldn't really find anything here on the forums, so I figured I'd post....

Basically I did a fairly detailed breakdown/analysis of the weapon and armor selection screen and the weapon upgrade screen, perhaps I point out some things you missed?
