Proof the Warlock Melee is OP. ;-) (edit: speaking as a Titan. Also, can you really melee kill people when they have 2/3 of their shields? It looks like that's what happened. Well done!)

BTW, the gifv(s) cutoff just before the jaw dropper.

That was the idea. My original idea was to have a gif based version that linked to each video. The 5 second animations in each one are supposed to be a teaser to the video you would see. But then GifV as it currently exists got all greedy en-mass and modern compression got in the way.

Hencemy post earlier today. ^_^

Iron Banner

"Only the strong are welcome here." - Lord Saladin Forge, hero of the Twilight Gap

The Lords of Iron, ancient warriors from the City's founding, have no time for mollycoddling. The City remembers Felwinter and Jolder, Skorri and Timur, Radegast and Gheleon and the others, for their invincible patrols during Six Fronts and the Wall-building. The Iron Banner asks Guardians to live up to that legend.

Lord Saladin, once Shaxx's mentor, runs the Iron Banner tournaments to strip Crucible weaklings of their illusions and prepare them for a battle with no concept of fair play. The Iron Banner tests a Guardian and the Guardian's gear in a definitive, relentless mock war.

By order of the City Consensus and the Speaker, Saladin and Shaxx cooperate in administration, and the Iron Banner is technically a component of the Crucible. In practice, Saladin keeps his own schedule, his own rewards, and his own territory in the Tower. Now and then someone tries to get Zavala, Shaxx, and Saladin to sit down for dinner and sort out their differences, but they remain as awkward and as stubborn as Saint-14's skull.

With the coming of the Iron Lords DLC, and with Lord Saladin being at the forefront of the Iron Lords trailer, I've been wondering if the game play in the Iron Banner would be indicative of the type of experiences we might get in said DLC, or even if the gameplay in the Iron Banner would change in any meaningful way. I've also been wondering if at least one multiplayer map will see it's PVE debut. The thing is... before this past weekend I had never played the Iron Banner before.

I had no idea what to expect.

I bit the bullet and gave it a go as a lone wolf. For Science. (SCIENCE!!)

Going in I was at 316, and after my two evenings which ended exactly when I achieved level 5, I reached 323. I don't know really if that is a metric for much, but in my view it ain't bad. Not bad at all.
