It's not a big deal, since they nerfed the hell out of glimmer consumables anyway.

I don't know why they didn't give us something to get glimmer off of taken.

The Raid ghost (Kingslayer Shell) has the "Reclamation" perk: Generate additional glimmer when killing taken. It can also be rolled on the Vanguard ghost that the Nightfall rewards.

That's another annoying part with them. I'll pop a consumable for glimmer as the strike is loading and then find out it's a taken version. I don't know why they didn't give us something to get glimmer off of taken.

Yeah. It kinda feels like either: Taken get in the way of other Quests and Bounties, or you can never find Taken anywhere when you need to kill a bunch of them. It did sound like we'd be getting interesting new public events in addition to the Taken stuff though.
