One digital pre-order for XB1, one pre-order for the limited edition on XB1 (which my friend is going to buy the game off of me for less than $60), and a digital pre-order for PC (note I did not quote his part about not having a PC pre-order in my reply).

Can I...? Can I buy a time machine from you lot? It's obviously the only rational explanation. What are the rules? Are we talking a relativistic time machine? Self correcting time machine? While I'm at it can I play Destiny 2 with my elders, or would that cause a split in the spacetime continuum wibbly wobbly timey wimey thing?

Des2ny seems to me like a game that won't catch on in the PC market. It kind of competes with the likes of Overwatch and other FPS games, as well as MMOs. Halo never really caught on on the PC either. There will also absolutely be cheating on the PC. If you though trials on PS4 was bad, just wait.

The cheating thing is definitely an issue that will come up, but as far as Halo's performance on PC I don't think that's a completely valid comparison. Halo PC came out 2 years after Halo for Xbox and was a mediocre port (which ended up with noticeably lower review scores because of it). Destiny 2 is coming out a little over a month later and isn't a port. I'd say it has much better chances. And with the incredibly positive things I've read about how it plays on PC, I think it's going to do alright.

How many people specifically pre-ordered this game just for the early Beta and then immediately canceled it after? Is Activision just going based off of the max pre-order number that got logged, or where it's at post-Beta? Or maybe Activision is being totally transparent and spot on. But after some of the nifty word games Microsoft and 343 tried to play regarding their sales and online player-base, I've learned not to necessarily trust some of the things these game companies and publishers throw out there.

(By that same token, I want to see where the sales are by Platform once PC releases. Does Battlenet release purchase numbers?

But in all seriousness, nowadays they tend to do the same thing they do for Destiny: talk about users not sales.
