This doesn't include the stealth buff to the vault! (reply)

Vault:

Default sorting now groups weapons of the same name next to one another and then sub-sorts them by power level. They also no longer reshuffle after you remove or add an item!

And they are further sorted by Primary, Energy, Heavy, then armors, and so on.

I didn't notice that, probably because for some reason the sorting after that gets weird, so you end up with sniper sniper grenade launcher sniper shotgun sniper shotgun rocket launcher sniper... Good to know, though.

The other sorts are still nonsensical (recent and quantity), but the default is vastly improved.

I use Quantity a lot. I find it's easy to dump all rare mods into the Vault, take a quick glance at Quantity to see if a stack of 3 is there, then head out if there isn't.

Before the new Default, Recent was useful for finding older loot that you wanted to get rid of or infuse.

I still want default to group all weapons by weapon type so that all snipers are next to one another, etc., and I'd love to have more ways to tag weapons than simply locked or unlocked (PvP, outfit 2, etc etc), but this is a welcome change.

Boy, don't get me started...

Destiny 2 confirmed anti-fun. (reply)

You barely gained anything on speed. Because it killed all your momentum. And there are better ways to make exploitable areas inaccessible.

Now the inconsistent shoulder charge has just become even less consistent. Just playing today I've come up short on targets that I don't feel I would have yesterday. It turns what used to be a tactical application of your melee into a random fall-out-of-the-air button.

I use this for mobility all the time. I honestly died probably 3-4 times yesterday solely because of this change.

Luckier Pants (reply)

I quite like the "Lucky Pants" buff, reloading a hand-cannon round for every precision kill, since my Hunter's patrol kit is Old Fashioned plus Sunshot.

-- Steve may never have to reload again. *evil grin*

There's a new handcannon from Curse of Osiris that has Graverobber (return rounds to the magazine, usually 4, it seems like) on melee kills. Grab that thing and you really won't ever have to reload.

Destiny 2 confirmed anti-fun. (reply)

Yeah, but it was still too exploitative. Other than the whole multiplyaer/speedrun thing, people were also using Shoulder Charge to get to places they shouldn't be able to get to, causing trouble for themselves and fireteam alike. I'm moderately relieved they're tinkering with this stuff a bit.
