I'm glad they will be nerfing it, but it was fun for a short period of time. That said, it's not that hard to counter. Just extend your engagement distances and use a scout rifle or other longer-ranged weapon. One of the games we played where we were all using it for fun, we found that MIDA was destroying us rather quickly so long as the MIDA player kept their distance.

Yes, but dancing on the corpses of our enemies while your fireteam kickflips their sparrows off whatever jumps they can find.

Also sparrow jousting is implied to be something that they anticipate Guardians would try because they can.

Actually, yes. It's to train us against the darkness. So technically, we shouldn't be goofing off in there.

Is the Crucible bound by lore? Why is everything so flatline? Make it weird and crazy and ridiculous and fun. There can still be regular lame crucible too...but give us something silly.

I played 4 games with Narc, Blackstar, and Golfer (who plays golf, turns out), and somewhere during the second game I had an existential crisis. It's on YouTube if anyone's interested.

I was sitting there with my sentinel beam and started talking to myself. "What am I doing? Why am I here?" Like, WTF was that. I don't like crucible, I don't like competition, I don't like Blackstar. I wasn't having fun.

At some point we sentinel beamed out a few wins and it was technically better than doing nothing, so there's that.

it was like playing some crazy-ass Halo custom game with sentinel beams and no shields.

people were ignoring heavy ammo b/c you'd be dead before you could get a shot off anyways.
