This happened to me pre-forsaken (reply)

and i found this and it worked for me

https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/244970355

I deleted the 10mb file for Warmind, and the game loaded up just fine after that. At the time, i hadn't even played Warmind at all on the xbox (i had completed it on PC). After deleting it i was still able to complete the warmind campaign without the file.

Seems like that little license file is not necessary b/c Bungie has your license tied to your account. So perhaps the xbox license is getting corrupted somehow, and is not syncing with what bungie has? I honestly don't know.

I would give that a try. If that doesn't work, maybe there's a similar issue with the Forsaken license.

Is it on an external drive? (reply)

No, but I am going to get one now and see if that helps.

Understood. I just asked because I had that problem when I put it on an external and forgot to route updates to external drive. It constantly tried to download the whole game.

Verifying Content... (reply)

With limited time to play, this is getting on my nerves. I load up Destiny and it tries to reinstall the entire game before I can play. Tonight I have tried closing the game, doing a hard reset, unplugging my console, and even reinstalling the expansions, but it still gets stuck with a percentage wheel that says verifying content. This happens to me pretty regularly. I have tried uninstalling the game and redownloading it, but this keeps coming back. Takes forever, hours sometimes, before I can play. What else can I do to fix this?

Edit: To add insult to injury, it keeps popping up a notification telling me how many of my friends are playing Destiny right now. Thanks, Xbox. That makes me feel so much better.

I've got one you can have, just pay the shipping.

Barely used, played MCC a handful of times 4 years ago and then it's sat ever since.
