The rewards in the activity are capped at 380 but can be infused (or bought from benedict I believe) up to 600. Correct?

Correct - all year 1 legendary and exotic gear can be infused up to the current maximum light level of 600.

The legendary items found from chests after completing encounters in the Leviathan Raid and Lairs are capped at 380.

The Clan reward available from Hawthorne if a fireteam of clan members completes the raid is a tier 1 "powerful" engram that can boost power levels above 380.

Perhaps I misunderstood the question. The rewards in the activity are capped at 380 but can be infused (or bought from benedict I believe) up to 600. Correct?
