Don’t think it’s directly mentioned in the update but I saw on reddit reposts of bungie developer tweets confirming that with the changes you will not be able to sword fly anymore. They specifically referred to no longer being able to use it for speed runs or certain exploits anymore.

As I understand it, the speedrun community will need to find new ways to break the sound barrier next season.

I understand this will come as a disappointment to some. Hopefully, this will bring new techniques and serve as a challenge to refresh previously established records.
