Went to play the Telltale Sam & Max games. They wouldn't launch because they need online checks. Emailed support:

Sam and Max is not currently supported as we do not possess the license to sell, distribute, or support it.

Their solution was to buy it again on Steam.

Likewise Bioshock Infinite was pulled from the Mac app store (not Catalina compatible). If you bought it and deleted it to save space, you can't play it again.

This is why you always buy physical. This is not hypothetical. It is actually coming to pass.
