Maybe it's a ruse to get people to turn things on and off so they can complete their doomsday weapon?

I didn't know a giant slingshot needed people to turn on and off their PS4s for it to work. That's one fancy slingshot if that's the case. :P

The most known state is the absolute first one. From there things can spiral out of control.

Yeah… except this happened to me after turning my console on and just launching Destiny. Shut down, do exactly the same thing and suddenly it works. Mysterious.

Maybe something expired/timed out? Maybe there was a small yet impactful update? Maybe it's a ruse to get people to turn things on and off so they can complete their doomsday weapon?
