I didn't get to that chest in time with a few characters. Thanks for posting. Enjoying these.

I think the only chest that actually requires you to be in a specific mode is the one at the end of the strike.

You can clean up 4 of them in explore mode if you "miss" any of them.

Right, and I did that. I was talking about getting to it before the mission timer ran out. I think my hunter didn't have her jump ability yet, or maybe I'm just spastic. :)
