Are you notified when you hit a checkpoint?

Whenever a new mission objective appears or you enter a new area, you have gotten a checkpoint. You will die often enough your first time that reaching a checkpoint will be apparent.

Strikes and Missions never had a checkpoint indicator. Don't think Raids would have it.

Are you notified when you hit a checkpoint? No spoilers please. I'm asking because when I'm doing Strikes, I don't really ever see a checkpoint indicator. Maybe it's because there's so much action going on or maybe I'm just distracted. I have yet to try to the Raid, but I'm curious. Thanks!
