As a designer, I've always admired the breadth and depth of sources from which Bungie draws inspiration while conceptualizing. IMHO, the best designers are generalists, drawing upon a wide variety of source material to enhance the creative process. It's nice to see them get recognition by someone outside the gaming industry.
