So I finally got Destiny 2 on Xbox...

And I was surprised at how relatively little grind there is to get to the soft cap. I picked the game up on Saturday evening, and by the time I logged off for the night, I was at 324 Light. Picked the game back up on Sunday, and hit 348 Light through a raid and a couple of Final boss kills in Escalation Protocol (thanks Chappy and Uno for the assist there!).

I then started a Titan, and by yesterday night, I had her at 350 Light.

Not sure if I'm reading Destiny Tracker correctly, but it shows that I have roughly ten hours played across PvP and PvE, though it also keeps track of every thing that I've done since I downloaded the Trial account (Which puts the game at about 26 hours of playtime, though my Warlock was pretty much just a Level 8 the entire time).

I fully expected the grind to take forever, but it hasn't been bad at all.
I plan to level a Hunter later this week, if anyone wants to help me blast through the story missions. :P

Yeah, it goes by fast. I had my Hunter at the soft cap within about the same amount of hours. That level 15 wall still sort of sucked, though. I did play with stabbim a bit around there, though, so I powered through really fast.

I only have a Hunter on Xbox. I don't think I'm ready to start a Titan yet, but I'm getting close. Kermit was going to start his soon, too, I think. It'd be neat to do some of the story with a full fireteam.

Also, regarding that framerate . . . I get worse drops than that during that event sometimes on my PS4 Pro. Usually happens when everyone is defending the glimmer at the final stage if everyone pops their super at the same time. Granted, it wouldn't have happened at all in the situation you were in that video. Witches Ritual on Titan still tanks my framerate pretty often on my Pro, too, when the big guy for the Heroic comes in and everyone lays into him. I haven't noticed it on the One X, but I haven't played nearly as much there, so I don't know if it's just not an issue or if I just haven't noticed it.

Oh hell yeah, public events(especially the crowded Heroic ones) are insane. The chaos is absolutely incredible, so in-your-face. I forgot what Bungie's reasoning was for locking it at 30 frames for consoles, but I gathered a small collection of videos where I was just laughing myself to tears during the madness. They're perfect examples of why the framerates were designed low! The REAL reason Bungie didn't uncap that stuff for the consoles, was because of all the lawsuits they'd have to answer for when everyone's Xboxes and Playstations would blow up their entire house trying to process all that stuff.

Ok, I'm exaggerating a little--houses wouldn't be exploding--but consoles sure would. XD

Glossing over how those videos are practically blinding in 1080p, I can't even imagine a system, console or computer, that can handle THAT type of graphical stress!

I still only have the one char on XBOX, so I'd go through the missions. Probably not till Friday night, though. Nice if it works out but no reason to wait for me.
