and you love video games, this is a wonderful read.

I'm looking forward to jumping into RDR2 in 4K.

Good Read!

Thanks for sharing. Definitely cool to see where they got inspiration from.

If you like a slower immersive experience, you'll love RDR2. I'm about 4 hours in, and its just great. Really makes me feel like an outlaw in the west.

One of the best things that makes it immersive outside of the awesome graphics and story, is the lack of loading screens. After the initial load up, you don't have loading screens unless you die or fail a mission. The game seamlessly go from gameplay to cutscene and back. It really just makes me feel like I am there in the action.

The musical score is great too. Lots of different "western" sounds for different types of settings/events. I grew up watching alot of westerns with my dad, and playing RDR2 just made me appreciate the influences even more.

I think this is one of those games where the visuals are so amazing I have to stop playing and take it in (happens with Destiny, too). We've come a long way from Pong.

The inverse relationship between the quality of video game graphics and the quality of my eyesight is... frustrating.
