The implementation of VRS and TAA demonstrates why raw pixel count is not always the most important metric

Vid contains some story spoilers I guess.

But yeah. Other than being dumb and targeting 4K, and the techncial problems with the cutscenes remaining, Infinite is apparently pretty fun. Halo's back baby!!!!

P.S. They have identified the cutscenes issue, and will patch shortly after launch. HBO cutscene library will wait until then.

Review Incongruity

The language of Halo Infinite reviews does not seem to match the scores.

Right now on Metacritic it's got 86. Seems good, until you realize Halo 5 has 84, and Halo 4 scored even higher at 87.

When reviews are talking about it being a second coming, as being the Halo that was always in your imagination, as being close to perfection, is this any more indication that Metacritic numbers are meaningless?

You're not accounting for inflation. An 86 now is like a 105 back then.
