No, no, that's...

FIFTEEN? Fifteen YEARS?!

What happened to all that time? When I bought ODST, I was a bright-eyed freshman in my first year of a 3D-Animation college (that I inevitably dropped out of).

I remember playing through the entire campaign in one night, the first time I'd ever managed to do that for a Halo game.

I remember forgetting my 360's HDD at home one weekend and playing through 1/3rd of the campaign every time I booted the game up just so I could play solo Firefight on Alpha Site.

I remember weathering the awful synchronous net-code to get the vidmaster achievements, the exact names of which now escape me.

I know we joke about time speeding up as you get older, but man... it feels like it was just last year that it was the 10th anniversary.

Thank you for all the good times, ODST. You'll always be Halo 3: RECON in my heart.

That's just the pandemic being a black hole of time. 2000-2022 just doesn't exist. So it technically is about 12 years ago.

ODST and Destiny are the same age clearly.

You're right about covid time.

I loved everything about ODST. It was a great sequel. Orginal, fresh, yet familiar. In retrospect, it was the Andor of the Halo universe. The little side story that could, showing up the mainline entries in its depth and the perfection of its execution.
