Multiplayer Gameplay

Hello again all,

I have been thinking about this pic

This probably isn't the finalized startup screen, but it could be. Showing your party (6 maximum!) and their ships, as well as 6 options on the left of what to do.

The City is obvious, 3rd person market and social gathering.

The tricorn logo means the true storyline, being brave and all that.

Bounty is an interesting one, with the 2/3 stars on the side perhaps it is like the weekly challenges in halo? more xp/loot if mission is done within time limit.

Strike and the remaining ones are speculation and here is where it gets interesting. Bungie has said that you are able to play for 20 minutes and actually accomplish something, I think strike is what they are referring to. It looks like hellmouth is the watermark on the tab, maybe this is a solo or co-op quick PvE mission, random baddies and loot, who knows.

Raid is the opposite, it is the longer grindier missions against fortified AI positions. Co-op definetly required, and maybe they change weekly or monthly as well, the Depth of Darkness being the current one.

Finally, PvP multiplayer. They have kept this so hush hush they wouldnt have anything but 'random hopper' showing. But I think this will be the option we will be playing competitively, with options for small games or large. More ideas on multiplayer to follow...

Multiplayer Gameplay

The Factions might be your teams online, make sure you get in the same one as your friends unless you wanna kill em! We all know Bungie makes above par MLG style multiplayer, but I would not say that is their strongest suit. Bungie has, in my opinion, always made the greatest large scale multiplayer battles. The vehicles, maps, and weapons are always fun and exciting, and factions wars could thrive in that huge style. If there are multiplayer matches of maybe 16 or 24 people on a massive map with vehicles and perks or weapons laying around, there would be no need to nerf everyone and equal the starting loadouts like a MLG gametype will have.

Not sure how Guardian wars fit into the lore, but I would really enjoy objective-based large-scale multi-team carnage.

And everyone seems to be wondering how an MLG stlye game would go with customization, my take is give everyone the same base rifle and fill the maps with weapons to race to in order to gain an advantage.

Again, all speculation. AND RANTING AHHHH

Good ideas

I definitely like a lot of those ideas. Honestly that menu still confuses me considering what Bungie has said about a seamless experience and there being no main menu. I always imagined having to go to specific locations to play the multiplayer, but then there is this picture that just makes me scratch my head.

I just realized that ship in front is flying Cerberus colors. Haha.
