If you haven't already seen them, Bungie has released some nifty mobile wallpapers featuring the new Taken King subclasses on their Facebook. Grab 'em!
Many sites have videos and/or articles about Destiny: The Taken King, and I've been doing my best to keep up! Here are a few of my favorites so far:
IGN - Multiplayer footage of Rift, Destiny's new Objective based multiplayer mode (look at all those new weapons!), along with DeeJ discussing the game with Destin from IGN. Also revealed Playstation exclusives will be available for Xbox, and the fact that you can skip cutscenes when Taken King drops. (Thanks iconicbanana)
Kotaku - Information about the first campaign mission that press got to play behind closed doors. (Thanks INSANEdrive)
Reddit - SonOfSeath on Reddit put together graphics of what the new upgrade trees for each subclass looks like (right now).
There's a lot of other interviews out there, pretty much go check any video game news site and you'll find someone talking to a Bungie employee!
Bungie has posted a Vidoc about The Taken King on Youtube, go watch it!
Youtube's E3 Experience has been going on all day, and after the Playstation press conference Geoff Keighley interviewed Urk and Luke Smith, along with the interview they sprinkled in some new clips from Destiny! SoMxStation on Youtube managed to grab it for us, watch it below!
Bungie tweeted about their new page dishing out some info on the freshly-announced The Taken King expansion and the Legendary Edition (think Game of the Year compilation), not to mention a special Collector's Edition including lots of physical goodies as seen below. Avateur started a thread on it in our forum.
In case you didn't realize, E3 is this week. And at Sony's press conference they showed us the Destiny Trailer. See it below to see all the new little details you can find!
Quick catchup on some news from the past few days - headed off to LA in the early morning, for E3. Let's see... first up is a video that Bungie tweeted about - what happens when the game traps you in the arena with Skolas... before the big fight actually happens? Why, you dance, of course. Beautiful. (Thanks, CruelLEGACEY.)
Forbes posted an opinion piece about Bungie's choice of non-matchmaking in Destiny's endgame activities - how do you feel about the need to bring your own teammates into these events? CruelLEGACEY has opinions about this stuff - go throw in your own two cents!
Kermit let us know about a Time interview with DeeJ, covering Bungie and the launch of House of Wolves, as well as a look into the role of our illustrious Community Manager. Nothing really new for frequenters of the Destiny community, but it's nice to see Destiny getting some coverage from more traditional press.
Korny stopped by with some Iron Banner gameplay - check it out!
Bungie has posted the official preview for House of Wolves which you can see below. Shows new weapons, new modes, and discusses a little bit about the story. Go watch and get excited!
GDC recently posted Justin Truman's talk from GDC 2015 on their website in PDF form (with transcription included). This one is titled: Shared World Shooter: Destiny's Networked Mission Architecture and covers how Bungie handled the complicated networking to handle matchmaking as seamlessly as possible. Go give it a read!
From Bungie's Twitter feed:

Bungie's Swat-like mode for the Crucible, Inferno, returns today at 11AM Pacific. Last time it was with Control gametypes, now it's Clash. More details at B.Net. Thanks Blackt1g3r!
Our ol' pal Hedge pointed out that Sid Moye, environment artist at Bungie, has updated his ArtStation portfolio with his work on Cabal environments, with a great shot of the foundational materials used to build much of the Cabal interiors as seen below:
There's also some intriguing views of his work on the Moon!
neolfex wins the 'coolest Destiny cake topper' award for 2015. I mean... geez. (Check his reddit post for more details - that beer can is pretty cool!)
Took a little longer than expected, because a couple of the winners that were picked initially neglected to respond to the email informing them that they won - but we've got 6 winners for the DBO Insight Giveaway. Congrats to the following!
Thanks to everyone for playing! When we get our hands on more schwag, we'll be sure to let you know.
Petetheduck has started a "Destiny Quacks" video series. First up is a guide to making a character that will permanently have no weapons. Y'know, if you thought the Iron Banner was too easy.
Gamespot has posted the recording of Chris Butcher's talk at GDC this year titled "Destiny: Six Years in the Making." You can watch it over on their site or on their Youtube channel, and here is Bungie's own description of the talk:
At Bungie, we built games based on the Halo engine for ten years. However, by 2008 it was beginning to show its age and there were many core systems that were ill-suited to a modern game development environment. For our new game, Destiny, we sought to develop an engine that would last us just as long as the Halo engine had. This talk will cover the six-year development arc of the Destiny engine, from inception to ship.
(Thanks to uberfoop for posting about it on the forum, even if I didn't notice until after the fact!)
Last week's Ride Along with the Dads of Destiny didn't get any front-page lovin' when it happened - but if you're a Destiny fan, you should defintely watch it. Lots and lots of behind-the-scenes tidbits on the making of the game and the development of the Cosmodrome from Lead World Artist Rob Adams. If you like this sort of thing, they published another one just a week earlier, with MoreConsole and World Artist Blake Low, focusing on Venus. If this schedule keeps up, there'll be a new one this Friday. They're streamed live on Twitch, so you can watch in real time - or you can enjoy them after the fact, on your own schedule (the Venus one is here, the Earth one is here). Spectacular!
The latest Bungie Bounty is on the TTL Gunslingers tomorrow, Wednesday the 18th, at 6:00 PM Pacific time. If you can best them in Control, you've got a chance at a very unique emblem.
The Bungie Bounty is on a mystical, satanic creature this week - Crota himself. The Dads of Destiny, alongside three Bungie representatives including Urk, will take a step into the darkness and see if they can emerge victorious at 8:30 PM Pacific. You can watch via Bungie's Live Stream. (Thanks Pete)
