PlayStation Interview with DeeJ

This one managed to slip through the cracks! Back on Tuesday, Bungie did an encore performance of the Destiny demo on the Sony stage at E3, followed by a PlayStation Blog interview with DeeJ. Gunslingers Out of Darkness

The Tied the Leader clan is a fantastic example of like-minded gamers getting together to enhance the community gaming experience. TTL Demag0gue (who staffs our own Destiny site, as well as being a Gunslinger) asked a number of his clanmates what they're looking forward to when Bungie lifts (a part of) the veil next week at E3 - swing by and read the answers!

Doing the PR Dance

IGN contacted a bunch of game developers to ask them what they thought about the Xbox One. Eric 'Urk' Osborne responded from Bungie - and oddly enough, his response references Sony more prominently than Microsoft. I guess you can interpret this to mean that Bungie views the next generation as the next generation (rather than as individual consoles)... or maybe it's just that MS hasn't really involved Bungie in its rollout of the new platform. It'll be interesting to see how front-and-center Destiny is in the upcoming Xbox One promotional PR. If you have input on this, Mr Daax (who initially brought this article to our attention) kicked off a thread on our forum - chime in!

Our E3 preparation continues with a request for the video animators within our community. Next week's events could result in the first DBO video production, and we need your help creating a classy intro animation for our footage! The Destiny twitter feed announced that a live action/CG trailer for Destiny will be aired this Thursday - exciting! The tweet includes a mysterious picture with the words "Law of the Jungle", I wonder what it means. Thanks, Chewbaccawakka.

One Destiny

With the recent unveiling of the new Xbox One console from Microsoft, Bungie confirmed that Destiny will indeed be launching on four platforms: Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and PS3. Not surprising, but still great to hear confirmed!

A deep summary from PSM

Playstation Magazine UK has written up their first look at Destiny. According to urk, the info they're disseminating has all been public since February 17... but if you read it carefully, it might seem new. (I was at the mid-February press conference, and some of it seems new.) Worth a look, just for its overview properties! Thanks, Mr Daax.

Art and Stuff Contest

Cal Carlson let us know that the 'Art and Stuff' group on Bungie.net is hosting another contest - you must create an original piece of art depicting what you want your Destiny character to look like. Winners will be adorned with awesome swag from Bungie themselves! The deadline is May 21st, so dip your paint brushes (or turn on your digital drawing tablet) and start creating!
