Crazy idea that might just work (Destiny)

I had the right bumper stop working properly on my 360 controller a few months back. I opened up the controller, and noticed that the piece of plastic attached to the bumper wasn't consistently depressing the toggle. So, I used some epoxy to build up the plastic plunger a bit, and then sanded/filed it down to a point where I had increased the height of the plunger ~.5-1mm. It was enough to cause the plunger to trigger the toggle every time, but not so much that it was permanently depressed (my first attempted height was too much). I've never had a problem with the bumper since.

Not having first hand experience with the Xbox One controller, I'm not sure if a similar situation is taking place, but if you're a bit crafty and a DIY/fix-it-yourself kind of guy, you might try this solution to ensure the bumpers work when they should.
