Yes, but they may not care. Being "around" doesn't necessarily mean they're putting forth any effort. They're probably playing on their phone or something and just bumping the controller periodically.

Or, like ZackDark said, they're probably going for the "strike without dying" bounty. In that case, how long it takes isn't among their concerns. Even if their teammates quit, matchmaking will eventually bring them new ones.

And make it more likely that a Strike will fail?


Not really. With one player safely out of the way, it may take longer, but the team won't wipe.

I'm not saying I like this behavior, but strictly speaking, I don't think it makes failure more likely.

It still makes me laugh that folks just don't run Sepkis at level 8 or whatever. Blasting through that is much faster than idling through a higher level strike. Haha.
