For the Xbox folks struggling with Crota... (Destiny)

This is very similar to the strategy my team has worked out, except we only have one defender titan per run. A few options:

Make sure the yellow knights are killed with a Gunslinger or Warlock super (not blade dancer) - this generates 4 orbs per kill instead of 2 for the blade dancer. Your Titan should save his super for defender bubbles. Hunters can switch to blade dancer (for invisibility safety) after the initial mob is dead.

You have time to grab ammo from both sides and use a syth after killing the initial mob - the Crota countdown doesn't start until you cross the threshold to the main area from left or right. If needed, switch to lower level armor that can turn orbs to health, recharge and switch back.

Start a stopwatch when you first leave the initial area into the main area - Crota moves every 60 seconds and this can help with your timing (just have one of the DPS team monitor it and call out when Crota's about to move).

If the timing isn't right (can't kill sword bearer quickly enough to get a full run at Crota), you have time to retreat and wait a cycle for Crota to move and move back (2 minutes). You can only wait once. The sword bearer tends to hang out in the middle if your fireteam stays in the center crystal room.

The defender Titan should put a shot into the boomers before popping his distraction bubble to ensure he draws their aggro before the sword carrier is exposed. He can also draw Crota aggro to help keep the sword carrier safe during his escape.

The sword carrier can hang out at the top of the bottom right Ogre spawn room between the first pair of Crota downs and the second pair of Crota downs (reducing risk he'll be picked off returning to center). Watch for thrall.

When running from the bottom Ogre room back to center after killing Shrek and Fiona, hug the left wall for safety, but watch for cursed thrall (and thrall inside).
