-The races are balanced; being in the lead means very narrow boosts, and missing boosts slows you down You also take more damage from the enemies, since you're their main target. Being in the back gives you very wide boosts, and as a result people are very close to one another throughout the race.

No kidding they can be close. At the end of that race the middle 4 of us all finished within the same second.

Lol. When Munky left our races because even closer :-p
