If you inspect the record book and click on the various challenges, it will give you the loot drops if the challenge requirements are met.

Seems like it wouldn't be hard for Bungie to detect anyone who has done this and institute a ban (they just have to see who earned these items but doesn't have the record book?). I wouldn't do it. Besides, the real reason you buy the record book is so you can, you know, keep track of your records. :P

Why should someone get banned for pressing X? The game code allows you to do it… This isn't something that requires extensive manipulation or modification. It could easily be done unintentionally. Bans would be dumb.

It's not even 'stealing'. The game lets you do it.

Bungie made a mistake, and should just fix the problem, refund the money to those who got the book, and let everybody keep the rewards. It's not the player's problem: it's Bungie's. I really don't like the attitude that players should be punished for the developer's mistake.

Last time we went down this road it was about the Shadowshot cheaters. There too it was just pressing a button. I was for a public warning followed by bans for those that did not heed it. This is different though, because:

- The bug isn't dramatically affecting people's games / causing them to lose / providing a major unintended PvP advantage.
- Persumably the ill gotten loot can be taken away in a way that ruining Crucible games and players' experiences could not be.

With this bug, banning should not even be a part of the conversation. This simply isn't a bannable offense. I wouldn't mind reading the unjustified outrage when / if Bungie yanks back the armor, though. :)

I'm loving the racing content, and I like them putting on events like this. I hate buying emotes and the idea of paying real money for a "chance" at something, so I don't want to buy those things. So this item was the one thing I could buy to give them a thumbs up for this event.

Yeah, I understand that. I simply don't have any way of knowing whether I've met them (or what they are, specifically, aside from 'and junk') without logging in again, something I can't do right now. So it's POSSIBLE they've fixed the problem, or it's possible that I just haven't played enough to meet the requirements. No easy way to tell.

I just noticed there's now a section to check your book progress on Bungie.net. Will be handy to keep pulled up during races to see how many more sweet tricks I need to pull off to complete one more objective :)

Edit: I just realized that may or may not show up if you haven't purchased the book.

Check your Postmaster? Same thing happened to me at first.

I just confirmed that it works seconds ago.

Also, if you have met some requirements, there will be an exclamation point on the bottom right of the Record Book icon when you open Tess's shop. Go through the boxes again,
