Last night after racing, everybody who originally was part of the DBO PS4 flawless raider crew got together and ran Vault of Glass again, with year one weapons and subclasses, on Hard mode.

It was really fun and I personally had a great time using my old favorites: Found Verdict, Corrective Measure, Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence, and Black Hammer. Obviously it's not completely the same (my Black Hammer ran out of ammo on the templar), but it was a nice way to revisit a fun moment.

And yeah, I totally get the 'social' aspect of the game and why that makes Destiny special. It wasn't so much doing the Vault of Glass, but doing it with awesome people.

Some things that would not have happened had this been Year One:

CruelLegacy was the first to die. He claims he ran out of Hand Cannon ammo :-p
He also did not dance once.
I wiped us on the Gorgon Maze. Twice.
Nobody died on the jumping puzzle.
I died getting a relic.
Cyber got the most insane set of drops possible during the run. As did I. Corrective measure from Gatekeeper, Red Death and Mythoclast from Atheon. Three people got exotics from the Gorgon chest.
The Templar teleported.

-At 11:00 into the stream, Cyber got marked randomly (no puddle in sight), and managed to cleanse in an awesome way at the last possible instant. We're talking hundredths of a second...

Yeah, downed the Templar in no time with it. Kids, stick with your Gallys.

It really was a blast going back into VoG with you guys. Any time you'd like to do it again, count me in. Maybe we could go rip Crota a new one as well :)

Hmm. Super annoyed that the networking issues last night kept me from joining in. Looked like only 5 people in the team, but maybe that was my effed up networking issues.

The event/party was open to anyone who wanted in. Hence the "Everyone is invited" description in the FTB post.

There was some discussion in the thread that had mentioned people wanted the flawless 6 to be the group. Maybe that wasn't you. Sorry, I thought that was the case as well, I could have joined you guys.

But no, I was under the impression that the sixth spot was completely open, and we would have loved to have any of you.

That sounds amazingly fun.

VoG is still the most fun raid to just jump in with friends.

I might have to set up an FTB event for one on the Xbox side sometime soon.
