RIP Hawkmoon :-( (Destiny)

If anybody has tried it, it's been hit pretty hard. It's such a shame because it not only was a great weapon, but FELT great. Imago Loop is getting me more wins, but it's not as satisfying to use.

The worst part is that I was starting to get good with it again, ironically because of the fact that I stopped playing Destiny for a while. Something about how the Hawkmoon handles has become embedded in my muscle memory, and it helped get me to the Lighthouse repeatedly the past couple of weeks. I've struggled to get back into the groove with almost all other weapons (even Smite of Merain)...
Why does Bungie hate Hawkmoon so much?

What makes it exotic now, if it's no longer any better than other hand cannons?
