I'm so glad they didn't patch the chaperon quest for the SRL. I still need to finish that! I was totally expecting them to do it with the latest patch too. Maybe they just decided they didn't want to bother with it if the SRL was only going to be around for 3 weeks.

True...34 races(at least for me) will certainly be groanworthy. But it'll always beat cheaters in crucible. So I'm keeping my mouth shut.

Honestly with how long TTK has been out now, I don't think they mind. A limited time event making it easier doesn't seem like too big of a problem.

Honestly with how long TTK has been out now, I don't think they mind. A limited time event making it easier doesn't seem like too big of a problem.
Now I want to see a statistic on how many people are playing SRL JUST to finish that quest :-)

I've been using an alt for all the SRL stuff, since my main has most things, including the chaperone, unlocked. All the extra xp going into guns, armor and quests is just icing on the cake for the fun I'm having racing friends and generally screwing around in SRL.
I think most of the hardcore people who would have cheesed it already have. At this point the SRL is a far larger time investment.

If it's for the chaperon quest it wasn't for me... I've spent so much time on that quest! I eventually gave up and tried not to lose my 41% :-)

What I was getting at is that at 3% per match, the time you spend in the SRL unlocking it is greater then the average time people spent in the crucible doing it legitimately.
I know I spent far more time then average on that part of the quest.
At 5min per match, that's about 2h40m, give or take

you only get 3% per win, and death causes it to go down. I had a really bad race last night where i went down 5%

Luckily, since I've play I've never died more than once per race which is still a 1% gain (I think)

Playing in the SRL list does increase Crucible rep, yes. (It's the red diamond at the end of each match.)

Playing in the SRL list does increase Crucible rep, yes. (It's the red diamond at the end of each match.)
You can even change your SRL class item from SRL rep boost to Crucible rep boost and have it go faster.

To be fair, I'm not even sure I HAVE any Crucible-rep enhancing class items. I always dismantle them because up until now I didn't really play anything that they would apply to.
The Sparrow Class item has a Crucible node.

Considering that he specifically said "To be fair, I'm not even sure I HAVE any Crucible-rep enhancing class items", it appeared to mean that he was still not aware that the Sparrow class items granted Crucible rep. He may have thought that you were telling him to switch to any general class item that had crucible rep, even though you specified. I was just reminding him. Why else would he have made that second statement? Unless he's specifically deleted all of his Sparrow class items the have higher Light than what he has for some reason...

For the record, I was in fact being an idiot. I had missed what Xenos said and TBH I don't even remember reading his post. I'm currently pretty confused as to what I even thought I was replying to. I think I just read the phrase "class item" and skimmed over the rest.

I think all the legendary faction class items have increased crucible reputation gains. Pick one up from your preferred faction maybe.
