It doesn't SEEM hard, especially using the one pool method, but it's super easy to screw up and you just have to wipe. I feel really bad when I make a mistake, even if it's one so simple as shooting the guy and it not registering. The golgoroth challenge is awful for that. Everyone has to stay alive, and it's not even "let's try with 5," it's "kill yourself."

I know I play with good guys. We at the DBO crew don't blame anybody usually, we've all been there, but the sorrys coming from everyone and that feeling that you're letting everyone down is awful. I mean, I never feel any animosity towards the people I raid with, but I can tell that they think I DO. I offer to take over important jobs sometimes because I don't want people to feel the pressure, and I can tell they feel bad if they screw up. I don't mind being hated for fucking up.

I think challenges like these are fun for people who are super hardcore, but they're demoralizing if you screw up. Totally fair, obvs, since it's for ultra good gear. I just don't like this one as much, since it can sometimes feel like you're making no progress, like Crota hard mode.

The other night, we did it twice with half the group under 310 (with Cody being the weakest one, no less), and a couple of folks weren't entirely familiar with Golgoroth's mechanics. I wouldn't say that our group was "super hardcore".
We did wipe a few times, but it's all about repetition; do your role and that's it.
When the Taken show up, take a couple of precautionary steps (Stormcaller works wonders here), but pretty much follow the same pattern.

I had fun. Heck, after seeing how easy it was to get Cody's ~300 Titan through, I was eager to do the same on Xbox with my 303 Warlock/Hunter.
